Here is adorable Miri at 10 days. It took a while for Miri to fall asleep, but once she did she slept through all her photos. Isn't she beautiful?!
I always love to see what fun props this cutie's mom brings. She always comes with a bag full of fun things. Loved the feathers and peacock headband! I was glad that we had the perfect evening sun for a couple photos at the end of her session.
Miss B turned one. I really enjoyed taking her newborn photos a year ago and was so glad to get to watch her smash her cake one year later!

Big brother just turned three and his little sister is 9 months. What a pair of adorable, happy tots! They were so easy going and seemed to enjoy getting their pictures taking.

Mr. O is turning two! We had so much fun watching him playing with the balloon, and also dancing to some of his favorite songs on him mommy's phone. Mr. O will be a big brother soon; I'm looking forward to meeting his little sibling.
Baby C has arrived. Mom and Dad were surprised when he arrived at 9 pounds 2 ounces. Isn't he cute! He wasn't in the mood for a nap while getting his pictures taken, but was very calm in mom and dad's arms.
This little man was smiling before I even started snapping away. I think he knew it was picture day and posed away. Big smiles for his mom. Happy Birthday little guy. I've enjoyed watching you grow this year!
Because I didn't start this blog until 2012 I didn't get to include any of the wonderful families I got to photograph last year, so I just wanted to post a couple. I have so many favorites that I'm sure I can't post all my favorites.....just a few.
I so much enjoyed taking Mr. J's pictures throughout his first year. I'm always a little sad when one of the "baby's first year" baby's leaves after they turn one because they won't be back in three months like they were all year long. Loved watching him neatly piece apart the icing on his cake. Not too messy at all.....
He was so cute, he does this little scoot on his bottom while he is still sitting. So his mom would sit him in his spot for pictures and he would smile at us and just start moving forward as fast as he could. I've never had a baby scoot so fast without using their hands. So funny. His big sister is ready for spring with her rain coat and boats. How cute are her kisses to her baby brother!?
Miss G came for some 9-month photos the other day and was just so cute. Sitting still and smiling at one time!! I had the privilege of taking her big sister's 9-month photos 3 years ago, so I thought it would fun to do a little side-by-side.

We had so much fun planning and having my sister, Lindsay's baby shower. We set up a photo booth to be a little silly with too!

I could not wait to take my sister's maternity photos! Isn't she so pretty?! (don't worry Avery, I didn't forget about you, your pretty too) Lindsay and Avery are going to be wonderful parents. Now that we have taken these, I'm so excited to take my new nieces pictures as soon as she decides to make her grand entrance in a few weeks.
I got to do something a little different with this photo shoot. I got a call from graphic designer, Jen Chapman, that she had a client who needed photos of a luxury quilt for some ads they are doing. So my wonderful friend, with a beautiful house, let us borrow her home for a couple hours to take photos of the quilt. The finished ad is my photo with the design by Jen Chapman.

Mr. D is 8 now. He came prepared with some of his favorite things this year, Tom & Jerry, and Angry Birds!
Our friends, the Park family, live in Mississippi. We get together about 3 to 4 times a year, which we think is pretty good giving that we live 10 hours away. In January we met in Nashville, TN. Katherine is going to be having her third little girl (to match up with my three little boys) in March. While in Nashville we quickly snapped a couple pictures of the girls and family. Can't wait to meet their new little girl very soon!!

Little Miss C came over for her first birthday pictures. She was so cute. I think this is the brightest cake I’ve had smashed so far! So glad her parents came over for some pictures, even though it was a snowy day.
I don’t get to see my new niece very often since she lives about 10 hours away, but over Christmas I had the wonderful opportunity to take some pictures of her at 7 weeks old with her Mom and Dad. What a cute family they make.

Each wedding was so different from the last, but all equally beautiful. What wonderful couples I got to photograph on their big day!!
I had such a fun year with my business! I thought it would be nice to make a collage with one photo from each session throughout the year. I had 191 sessions, 7 weddings and 1 preschool in 2011. Thanks for all who had me photograph your family/child/baby/loved one. I enjoyed every minute. Looking forward to a wonderful 2012!
